75 Days — Support

Get in touch

Email support@econtechie.com.

75 Days is made by one person. If you write, please say which iPhone and which iOS version you are on, and what you were doing when it went wrong. If it is a sync problem, say whether you are running solo or with a partner.

There is no account, so there is nothing I can look up on my side. Everything the app knows is on your phone and in your iCloud, which means a good description of what you saw is the whole diagnosis.

Getting started

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for. The app uses the iCloud account already signed in to your iPhone.

Do I need iCloud?

Yes, to create or join a challenge, and to run one with a partner. A challenge is stored in your own iCloud account, and partner sync is Apple’s private sharing between two iCloud accounts.

If you are not signed in, the app tells you so and offers to take you to Settings. Sign in to iCloud on the iPhone, make sure iCloud Drive is on, then come back and retry.

How do I invite somebody?

A partner can be added in one place: the Add a partner action on the leaderboard of a solo challenge. That sends a private link. The link works for one person only, and a challenge holds exactly two people. If a second person tries to open a link that has already been used, they are told the challenge already has two people and offered to start their own.

When you invite somebody you choose whether they join in progress on the day you are on, or you both start fresh at Day 1. You make that choice before the invite goes out.

Can I use it on my own?

Yes. Start solo and add a partner whenever you want, or never. On a solo challenge every partner-only surface is hidden rather than shown empty, so there is no half-filled scoreboard staring back at you.

How many challenges can I run at once?

Three. Each has its own activities, its own miss rule and its own partner. Switch between them from the chip at the top of the screen.

The challenge itself

What is Day 0?

The day before the challenge starts. You get the real screen, fully working, so you can practise logging. Nothing you log on Day 0 is saved into the challenge and nothing scores. At midnight Day 0 becomes Day 1 on its own. You can also start Day 1 immediately, and a Day 1 that begins at midday is fine.

Can I change the activities after I start?

No. The activities, goals and cadence are the terms both people signed at creation, and they hold for the run. What you can change is the miss rule, which is the one term the app lets you renegotiate mid-run, because losing 40 days to a rule you picked in your first five minutes is the wrong outcome.

What do the three miss rules do?

I picked hard restart and just missed a day. Is my run gone?

Not necessarily. When a hard restart triggers, you are offered two ways forward: restart at Day 1, or switch this challenge to grace days instead. Switching keeps every day you have logged and your streak, spends the first grace day to cover the miss, and changes the rule for the rest of the run.

I forgot to log yesterday.

You can back-fill yesterday only, and the app asks you for a reason. The day is then marked as a late log rather than a normal one. Anything further back stays as it was logged; the app offers to log today instead. This is deliberate: a tracker you can rewrite at will is not evidence of anything.

How is the score worked out?

Ten points for each activity completed, forty more if you complete all of them that day, and a hundred on Day 25, Day 50 and Day 75. Your streak sets a multiplier that runs from 1.0 up to 2.0. The multiplier is set by the streak you enter the day on, and milestone bonuses are flat and never multiplied. Tap How points work on the leaderboard for the full breakdown with a worked example.

A grace day keeps your streak safe and scores nothing.

Steps, workouts and photos

My step count is not filling in.

The app reads step count from Apple Health. Check three things:

  1. Apple Health has your steps at all. Open Health, Browse, Activity, Steps.
  2. 75 Days is allowed to read them: Health app, Sharing tab, Apps, 75 Days.
  3. You are on the day you think you are. The challenge runs on its own clock, which may not be your device’s clock if you have travelled.

If Health has nothing, you can always type the number in and attach a screenshot as proof. A manual log counts exactly the same as an automatic one and is never scored down.

Does the app write anything to Apple Health?

No. It only reads step counts and workout samples, and it never writes.

Can my partner see my progress photos?

No. Progress photo images stay in your own private iCloud storage, in a place that cannot be shared even by mistake. Your partner sees that you logged a photo on a photo day. They never see the photo.

The screenshot you attach to a manual step count is different: that one is meant for your partner, because its whole job is to back up a number you typed in yourself.

The camera will not open.

The app needs camera permission for a progress photo. If you declined it, the app offers to mark the activity done instead, and gives you a way through to Settings to turn the camera back on.

Sync and offline

The app works offline, and here is what that means.

Log whatever you want with no connection. The result appears immediately, the app never makes you wait for a network round trip, and the day is stored on your device straight away. Rows that have not reached iCloud yet carry a PENDING SYNC tick. They go up on their own when you are back online.

There is no offline banner, on purpose. The per-row tick and the Sync section in Settings are the honest signal.

My partner’s score looks out of date.

Open Settings and look at the Sync section, which shows when the app last synced and offers Sync now. If a partner’s row is more than an hour behind, the app says so on that row.

Sync needs both phones to be online at some point. If your partner has been offline for a day, their days appear when their phone next syncs, with the right day numbers.

It says it cannot reach iCloud.

Work through this in order:

  1. Check the phone has a connection.
  2. Settings, your name, at the top. If it says you are signed out, sign in.
  3. Settings, your name, iCloud. Check iCloud Drive is on and that you have storage left. A full iCloud account stops new records being written.
  4. In 75 Days, open Settings and tap Sync now.

Nothing you logged is lost while this is happening. Your device holds the real record and pushes it when it can.

I got a new iPhone.

Sign in to the same iCloud account and install 75 Days. Your challenges come back from iCloud. Progress photos are stored in your private iCloud database and come back with them.

Reminders and nudges

What are the four reminder layers?

Notifications are not arriving.

iOS has to allow them first: Settings, Notifications, 75 Days. The app also tells you inside Reminders when notifications are switched off, and offers a way through to Settings.

Can I stop my partner nudging me?

Yes. Reminders, Partner nudges, and turn off the row that lets them. Each partner layer is a separate switch.

Ending, leaving and deleting

How do I end a challenge?

Settings for that challenge. On a paired challenge the action ends it for both of you and says so. It asks you to confirm. Once ended, you are taken off the challenge’s Today screen rather than left staring at a challenge that has stopped.

What happens to my history?

Ended challenges are kept under Past challenges with the outcome: finished, ended, left, or not started. You can open one and see the days you logged.

Does deleting a challenge delete my photos?

Yes. Deleting a challenge removes its progress photos from your device and from iCloud.

Does deleting my copy remove it from my partner’s phone?

No. Their copy is on their device and in their iCloud. If you both want it gone, you both need to delete it.

Privacy in one paragraph

There is no server on my side, no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third party code in the app. Your challenge lives in your own iCloud. The full policy is at the Privacy Policy link on the App Store page.
